Five years ago, Ray Smith’s son, Shane, started playing paintball. Having a business background and an eagerness to go away from vehicle traveling, Smith said he looked into paintball as a business paintball gun opportunity.
“I thought, ‘This is something I could enter,’ ” said Smith, owner of Midwest Paintball Inc. “Everybody needs something to do, to get away from work and stress. That’s what paintball is - it’s entertainment.” Going back two-and-a-half years it’s been a long haul, he said, but Midwest Paintball is finally nearing its debut in Morris. Days gone by week, finishing details were underway on the indoor service, a previous warehouse at 3727 N. Division St. The course is laid out the same manner as one in the Nationwide Xball Little league World Cup. Smith said competition enjoy playing on indoor courses that reflection the course found in the sport’s biggest event - held in Florida each year - because it allows these to be as prepared as it can be. Soon, players from Grundy County and potentially all over the Midwest will duck under and behind 50 inflatable bunkers setup on the course, as they make an effort to dodge paintballs flying through the air at 100 mph. Organizations can reserve time at the course, that actually resembles a smiley face from an aerial view, Smith said. Smith said he began looking 3 years ago for properties that would fit his business plan. He looked at 30 to 40 indoor facilities, but determined https://en.search.wordpress.com/?src=organic&q=Paintball this Paintball Materials - Paintball Equipment - Paintball Turf - Paintball Compressors - Paintball Netting - Paintball Alpha Sports activities Paintball Compressor Package 3 one 2 yrs ago. “We strolled in and fell deeply in love with it,” Smith said. “That’s why we’ve been fighting for it. It’s a great fit.” Smith ensured to do his research on every aspect of the business, from the artificial turf floor that had been pieced with each other Thursday, to a tournament-strength compressor system capable of providing air to almost 2,000 players. “We want to do it the right way,” he said. He even looked into the science of deciding on a name. A marketing specialist informed him the initial name he thought of would never allow the business to reach its full potential. Smith understood how a regional name could attract many people. The name Midwest Paintball has a broader appeal, he said. “We can have folks from five different states driving here in four hours or less,” he said. Although he expectations to get visits from the Illinois Condition Redbirds Paintball Team and a professional team called the Houston High temperature, Smith was able to acquire a skilled and knowledgeable employee from close by.
